What Board Positions can you apply for?

There are 3 Board positions that AM candidates can apply for – those selected will join 2 experienced AM Board members – Bob Douglas, Synovate Healthcare and Piergiorgio Rossi, SGR International.  This will make a total of 5 AMs on the Board.

This is the Board Structure

The Board will be comprised of 13 members including the President, General Manager and Treasurer.  The new structure is outlined in more detail below. 

President – Voting Full Member.

5 Full Members (FMs) - voting rights.  FMs will be voted in at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) as now. 

5 Associate Members (AMs), non voting.  The AM candidates will be invited to apply and selection undertaken by the current Board members.

How Appointed?

The Associate Members will be appointed as follows - 2011 only:

3 Board positions advertised and communicated to AMs in March/April 2011

-          Applications assessed by all Board members

-          Candidates appointed by end April /early May 2011

-          Candidates will be Board members from April 2011 to 30 September 2012.

 

AMs selected will be asked to join the Board meeting in Basel on Monday 27 June 2011 at 09.30am.

 

In 2012 the timeline for appointing AMs to the Board will be:

5 Board positions advertised and communicated to AMs in March 2012

-          Applications assessed by Board members

-          Candidates appointed by end May 2012

-          Candidates will be Board members from 1 October 2012 to 30 September 2013.

-          Your application will be acknowledged by EphMRA

-          The Board will have a telecon to discuss all applications

-          Candidates will be informed and feedback given

-          A telecon will take place with all AM Board members before the Basel meeting to discuss any points.

 

AM Board members – Selection Criteria

AM applications will be assessed according to the following criteria:

 

-          Breadth and depth of relevant experience in international pharma market research – primary or secondary

-          Geographical location

-          Prior experience on other EphMRA Committees

-          No conflict of interest with position in which employed

-          Candidate has the time to undertake the role.

 

Note: Board members are not reimbursed for any expenditure in relation to attending any meetings or events.
